OUR MISSION
To enhance the health and and quality of life (emotionally, mentally, and physically) for our participants - older adults and adults with disabilities - by providing a therapeutic, supporting, and enriching environment. We aim to do the same for their families as well.
OUR HISTORY
South Richmond Adult Day Care Center was established in 1975 by the joint efforts of the former Major, Dr. Dwight C. Jones, of First Baptist Church of South Richmond and a Pastor from St. Stephens Episcopal Church. The vision was to create a program for older adults who had retired and would benefit from recreation and socialization. The churches invite other organizations such as local communities and companies to support adult day health care in meeting the needs of this special population and their families.
